Hosea 7:9-11

^9 (A)Strangers devour his strength,
    and ^(B)he knows it not;
grey hairs are sprinkled upon him,
    and ^(C)he knows it not.
^10 (D)The pride of Israel testifies to his face;^{[a]
    (E)}yet they do not return to the Lord their God,
    nor seek him, for all this.
¹¹ Ephraim is like a dove,
    ^(F)silly and without sense,
    calling to ^(G)Egypt, going to ^(H)Assyria.
